Global Refugee Studies (GRS)

GRS focuses on forced displacement of people, i.e. both those who are refugees in the legal sense and other groups of “people in flight” from their homes: Those who have not crossed any borders (internally displaced persons), those who flee (within or across borders) from general violence rather than personal persecution, and those fleeing natural disasters. It is a multi-disciplinary group, bringing together political scientists, anthropologists, legal experts and others.
